This bar graph illustrates the effect of sh-Polypeptide-1 on NIH-3T3 cell proliferation measured at 48 hours (T48) using an MTT assay. The y-axis represents the absorbance at 570 nm, which is indicative of cell proliferation, while the x-axis shows the sh-Polypeptide-1 samples that were compared. Each sample was tested at a concentration of 100 ng/mL. An MTT assay shows a sigmoidal dose–response curve, with cell proliferation increasing as SH-O-2 concentration rises. The X-axis (SH-O-2 concentration, ng/mL) is displayed on a logarithmic scale, while the Y-axis represents absorbance at 570 nm (background-subtracted), corresponding to proliferation relative to untreated controls. The ECâ‚…â‚€, where 50% of maximal proliferation is achieved, is approximately 55 ng/mL. At low concentrations, proliferation remains near baseline, increases sharply around the ECâ‚…â‚€, and plateaus at higher concentrations, indicating saturation. This demonstrates the dose-dependent effectiveness of SH-O-2 in stimulating MCF-7 cell growth.
