Recombinant Amylase

Amylase is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of starch, a polysaccharide composed of glucose units linked primarily by α-1,4-glycosidic bonds, with occasional α-1,6 branches. Amylase specifically targets these glycosidic linkages, breaking down starch into smaller saccharides such as maltose, maltotriose, and glucose.

Immobazyme’s recombinant Amylase is produced in the methylotrophic yeast Pichia pastoris and purified using immobilised metal ion affinity chromatography (IMAC), ensuring high purity, stability, and consistent activity.
